BRAVE is Back!

Hello! Welcome to the BRAVE Blog. If you’re reading this, I think you are awesome.

It means some part of you, even if it’s small and hidden, is curious about learning more about living brave. Stay curious. Lean into that feeling that got you here. I am so happy you found us.

I’m Meaghan. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a human, leader, activist and educator - and the founder of BRAVE (more to come on that).

I would like to note that this digital space welcomes all humans; all races, cultures, religions, countries of origin, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, disabilities, spoken languages and ages. You belong here. We stand with you. This is a BRAVE space (more on that, too).

Today, July 1, 2019, is our kickoff of the 2019 Relaunch Initiative for The BRAVE Institute. Learn more here.

Formerly known as BRAVE Girls Leadership Inc.

And, a main component of our 2019 Relaunch Initiative is this uniquely beautiful, brave, blog. I am so happy that you are here.

I’m so stoked about what we are doing with this blog. Let me tell you more about why.

First,  I believe that words and stories have tremendous power and significance. I plan to do my best to capture, amplify and employ the power and significance of words and stories here - as a vehicle for challenging and inspiring.

Second, the work BRAVE does is important to me. The org mission is my mission. I know, I am biased. But, I hope this blog will be able to expand the reach of our impact and create new spaces to teach and learn with and from other humans, organizations and communities.

And finally, blogs are awesome ways to share ideas and information. But, at BRAVE we also believe in the capacity of blogs to share peace, love, empathy and kindness. These values are at the very core of BRAVE.

Together, I hope to achieve three main goals with this new project;

(1) to provide each of us with a space to teach and learn about leadership, personal bravery, culture and identity, (2) to develop a BRAVE network for continued support, growth and success, and, finally, (3) to increase awareness and inspire action around topics of human rights, social justice and intersectional feminism.

Together, we are going to teach and learn about living BRAVE. I truly believe that at our best and bravest, we can and will give and receive even more peace and love in order to make our world better. We have to start somewhere, so, why not start right from where we are. I hope y’all are ALL IN. I know I am.

Again, welcome! I’m so thrilled to have you here. Look for a new post next week, and make sure to share this with other humans if you enjoyed it!

Peace,

Meaghan
